Mama Birthday
Yet another birthday celebration and my Da Jie's birthday is in another 5 days time.. For my mama's birthday, we wanted a celebration at Equinox, but we were unable to make a last minute reservation.. haha.. So, we ended up dining at some German restaurant; I didn't even like the food.. German meat just tastes so partially cooked, the experience felt almost barbaric, akin to tearing the meat on my plate. However, the ambience was pleasant and fairytale-like.

After the meal that wasn't really to my liking, we went of to the bakerzin for some sweet savouries. The no smoking sign printed in a glass block fascinated me, cause of the internal reflections and stuff..
Internal reflectionsWe wanted to go to the Equinox bar to catch the panoramic view of the city after having dessert, but entry costs $22 with complimentary house drink so its totally not worth it since we were only there for sight seeing, not clubbing... I'm really tempted to make a restaurant reservation 1 year in advance.. ha..
Guess what? On the way back home, we stopped by some stall that sells footwear from 90 cents.. Curious, I browsed through what they had to offer and this uncle waved a pair of slippers at my face, saying, 'Cuse me... Cuse me..' I spun around and he asked, 'What price ah?' Oh com'on! Did I look like the sales person, or was my attire too casual, or did I look like I was doing shelving?! Anyway, I took no offence, but still... ha.. Funny moments ya...
